The Fig Tree Inn is located about half a block from Jacksonville Beach and roughly five miles form the Mayport Mall. The Jacksonville Zoological Gardens are within 25 miles. The Beach Golf club is a mile away. If you are looking for some adventure then you may want to try the Kayak Adventure is about 4 miles away.
The inn itself was built in 1915 and has old-fashioned cedar shake shingles and has a furnished porch. The inn offers a complimentary breakfast, which is something the inn calls the Fig Tree Special, which is only a combination breakfast of waffles and French toast. The inn allows guest to use the kitchen and barbeque grill too.
The second floor has a deck that you see the ocean and it also has a porch swing. There is a library at the inn and there are books and videos. There are board games and wireless Internet access, a CD stereo and even a laundry room.
The rooms themselves are decorated with antiques and they have DVD players, Cable TV, refrigerators and coffee makers. There is something called a Garden room, the garden room has a spa tub and nautical rooms with claw foot tubs.
